" style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none; Bob spent almost his entire life around the La Crosse area enjoying hunting and fishing but his great loves were trapping and hunting for ginseng, and he was very successful at both. For over 50 years he owned a boathouse near Stoddard, Wisconsin and there he spent many enjoyable years managing his purple martin flock, watching the progression the local muskrats made on their houses and partaking of some good cold beer. He always had stories and sometimes they were actually true. He was one of the old river rats that took with him a piece of our river heritage and the river is a little poorer because of it. We know that he is now in a happier place with his family and friends that went before him. He is no longer an old man but young and full of energy and paddling his skiff through the marshes full of muskrats and beaver, where the fish are always biting and the seng plants are all four prongers. We hope that your beer mug be never empty and your trap line be always full. Watch over us. Bob is survived by three children, Robert S. (Barb) Cibulka of La Crescent, Susan M. Hines of La Crosse, and John W. Cibulka of La Crosse; six grandchildren, Sara Viner of Caledonia, Minn., Stephen Cibulka of Royal Oak, Mich., Michael Cibulka of Redmond, Wash., Nathan Cibulka of Genoa, Lea Hines of La Crosse and Abby Hines of La Crosse; three great grandchildren, Austin, Sam, and Ayden; and one sister, Dorothy (Richard) Johnson of La Crosse. In addition to his wife, Bob was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sandra Ann Van Riper, on March 2, 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 29th, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Entombment will take place in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
