Kimberly M. (Bachman) Gallup, 45, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. She was born on December 1, 1966 in La Crosse to Frederick and Joan (Preslik) Bachman. She graduated from Central High School in La Crosse in 1985. She married Conrad Howell in December of 1984 and they later divorced. She then married James Gallup on June 1, 2011. Kim enjoyed photography, gardening, motorcycling and crafting. She was a dedicated mother and very caring person, who lived to care for others. She endured her battle with cancer with grace and dignity, never complaining, while continually caring for others. Always and Forever, No Matter What.
She is survived by her husband James, one daughter Amber Howell of Madison, WI, four sons Matthew Howell of La Crosse, Jeremy (Danyual) Howell of Portage, WI, Nicholas (Mary) Howell of Onalaska and Michael Conklin of La Crosse, stepchildren Tokata Gallup, Chelsae Gallup, Tanner Gallup, Daniel Conklin, Bri Conklin and Brian Mac, three sisters Tami (Todd) Baus of Onalaska, Amy (Justin) Mashak of La Crosse and Jenni (Bob) Seberg of La Crosse, one brother Steve (Cindi) Bachman of West Salem, one aunt Janice (Kevin) Preslik along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two uncles and one aunt.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Schumacher - Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse. Pastor David Baldukas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:30 AM until the time of service. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the oncology and hospice staffs at Gundersen Lutheran, especially her niece, Chelsey Dagendesh, and all of the many friends for all of their love and support through this difficult time.
