Ronald F Jeffery

d. November 29, 2012

Ronnie came back to East Grand Forks and met Dorothy Love. They married and had a daughter Jennifer. A year later, they moved to La Crosse and had daughter Dawn. More than a decade later, they had another daughter Ann and two years later they had a son Aaron. Ron was a loving family man with an immense faith in God. He made sure that his kids were saved and shared in his faith in God. Ron spent more than 10 years at La Crosse Cooler Company working with metal and, for a short period, in services working with food. After that he dedicated himself to teaching his son at home, until he was diagnosed with Parkinsons.

Dad loved having friends over for dinner and watching movies at home. He also took pride in having the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. Dad learned how to crochet as a young man up at his grandmothers cabin. For many years, he would crochet blankets and small pot holders for family and friends. Dad was able to do this despite the Parkinsons diagnosis up until a few years ago. He will be in our hearts forever.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Florence Abar, his parents Donald and Margaret Jeffery, his sister Linda Bey, and brother Lyle Jeffery. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jeffery of 50 years, his children Jennifer, Dawn, Ann, and Aaron. He is also survived by his brothers Phillip and Michael as well as sisters Tootie, Terry, Cindy, Diana, and Kim. He had many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Schumacher Kish funeral home on Friday December 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.
