Dennis D. Miller, 69 of Brownsville, Minn., passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Healthcare Medical Center of La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse on August 20, 1943 to Bernard and Mary Jane (Wiese) Miller. He married Edith A. Peterson at St. Peters Catholic Church on November 16, 1968 and she preceded him in death in 2007.

Dennis had served his country with the United States Army from 1960 until he was honorably discharged in 1966. He had worked for many years in the underground dewatering business where his job took him all over the country to many interesting places. He enjoyed gardening and other yardwork, gambling on the ponies, spending time with family and friends, making puzzles, fishing, bird watching and will be remembered for his generosity and his love of the color yellow! He also enjoyed drives through the country in the Cadillac, lunches with his friend Cliffy and following the Minnesota Twins.

He is survived by his two sons; Rod (Tammy) Miller and their children Sidney and Samantha; Dan (Nicole) Miller and their children Kaitlyn, Andrew and another child to be born in June, all of Hokah, MN, two sisters Sandra (Roger) Von Arx of Burnsville, MN, Bernadine Miller of La Crosse, one brother Glenn (Mary) Miller of Hokah, his special companion Jeannie Moser of La Crosse and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Hokah. Rev. Pratap Reedy Salibindla will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Friends may call on the family Sunday evening at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Monday morning at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in his memory at St. Peters church.
