He was born in Lewiston, Minn., on June 22, 1935, to Marvin and Leona (Rinn) Nichols, and always spoke fondly of the great times he had while growing up and helping out on his uncles farm during the summers. On October 15, 1955, he married Isolde Terri Kaiser at St. James the Less Catholic Church in La Crosse.
Beauford worked as an electrician throughout his life, working in large commercial construction as well as on small construction projects. He was an avid Packer fan and loved golfing and fishing with his brother, Ken, in his free time.
Beauford was a kind, brave, and gentle man who loved his family. He was also loved by his dog, Sadie, who woke him up every morning waiting to be petted and greeted with a, Hows my Sade today. Then she would sit by his side as he read the paper. His dog, Mollie, who was always by his side, greeted him in heaven. It makes our pain a little easier knowing that you are not alone.
Beauford is survived by his wife, Terri; three sons, Tim Nichols (special friend, Sharon Grisen) of La Crosse, Steven (Charlene) Nichols of Omaha, Neb., Craig (Valerie) Nichols of Minneapolis; two daughters, Renee (Matthew) Cloutier of Trempealeau, and Angela (Kenneth) Cook of Commerce, Mich.; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Kenneth (Kathy) Nichols, Arvard (Beryl) Nichols, and Roger Nichols; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Nichols and Linda (Joe Calvin) Patterson; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Fanny and Lloyd Jones; and three brothers, Ronald, Harold Harry, and LaVern Jim Nichols.
