Paul A Johnson

Paul A. Johnson, 76 of La Crosse passed away on Saturday, December 15, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse on June 20, 1936 to Harold and Elizabeth (Richmond) Johnson. Paul had taught at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse for 30 years and was the first Department chair in the Social Work program.

Paul is survived by his wife Jill of La Crosse and her children and grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister Kathy. He was preceded in death by one brother Barry.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse. Rev. Allan Townsend will officiate. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation, The Salvation Army or the doners choice.
