Vincent Thomas Vince Riley, 88, of La Crosse, died on Tuesday, January 8th, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic Health System La Crosse. He was born on October 6, 1924 in Waukon, IA to John and Mary (Walsh) Riley. Vince was very proud of his service in the US Army as an MP during WWII. He married Betty Dusso on June 10, 1950. He had worked at Trane Company for 36 years. Vince faithfully served St. Thomas More, Mary, Mother of the Church Parish as an usher for many years. Vince was known by his neighbors and friends as a wonderful neighbor who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Vince is survived by his wife Betty, nieces and nephews, Phil Quillin, Lyle Quillin, Larry Quillin, Bob Schmidt, Dick Schmidt, Jane Schulte, Mary Jo Kelly, Pat Hastings, Mike Riley, Virginia Kurth and Cindy McKernan.

He was preceded in death by his brother Francis Riley and three sisters, Virginia Schmidt, Isabelle Saevert, and Greta Quillin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 11th, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Mary, Mother of the Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Entombment with military honors will be in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum, Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials in Vinces memory are preferred
