Alicia K Woestman

Alicia Kathleen (Moevs) Woestman, 93, of La Crosse died peacefully at Bethany Riverside on Ash Wednesday Feb. 13, 2013.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1919 in La Crosse to Henry and Mary (Anderson) Moevs. She married Edmund Woestman born in Trempealeau, Wis. and a La Crosse firefighter - on July 19, 1941.

Alicia loved children and cared for dozens of children before the daycare era.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Tom (Rose) of Markham Ill., John (Susan) of South Holland Ill., daughter-in-law Chris of Crown Point, Ind., Anne (Jim) Galewski of Winona, Mary Sheehan of La Crosse and Teri Woestman of Hammond, Wis.. She enjoyed 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a handful of great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Jim.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 16th in the Marian at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral with Msgr. Charles Stoetzel officiating. Entombment will take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.
