Clarence A. Bina Troyanek, 96 of La Crosse, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born in La Crosse on November 17, 1916 to Edward and Stella (Stanek) Troyanek. He attended St. Wenceslaus Grade School and graduated from La Crosse Central High School where he was active in all sports. Clarence also played on the first American Legion baseball team. In 1936 he married his loving wife of 76 years, Virginia D. Allen. Clarence had worked at the La Crosse Brewery and Northern Engraving. He also operated Eds Tavern for 24 years, and also had Troyaneks Tap and Line service which later became Badger Tap And Line Service. Clarence belonged to the La Crosse Eagles Aerie 1254 for 64 years, the La Crosse Elks Club and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1920. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing. He also liked to watch football, baseball and basketball.
In addition to his wife Virginia, he is survived by two daughters, Nancy Kroll of La Crosse, Vicki Tarnutzer of Janesville, WI, two sons, Captain Gerald Troyanek of Sandy Springs, MS, and Clare Troyanek of La Crosse, three grandchildren, Lisa (Jerry Fondow) Oxton, Kelly Kroll-Zmolek, Troy (Renee) Tarnutzer, five great grandchildren and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by one grandson, two sisters and one brother.
In keeping with Clarences wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no services. Burial in the Mormon Coulee memorial Park will be at a later date. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel is assisting the family.
