Madison/Onalaska
Terry Neil Kleinschmidt, 57 of Madison and formerly of Onalaska, passed away unexpectently at his home of natural causes on Sunday, February 24, 2013. He was born February 1, 1956 in La Crosse to Neil and Janet (Marson) Kleinschmidt and graduated from Onalaska High School in 1974. He married Patricia Welch in Onalaska in September of 1979 and they later divorced.
Following his move to Madison, Terry worked for Master Blue Printing and Don Miller Dodge before becoming a self-employed contractor, a job he loved and took pride in each and every day. Terry loved woodworking and was an avid photographer. He truly loved his parents and especially his brother, Randy, Randys wife Kate and his nephew, Trevor. His parents could not have asked for a better son, always saying I love you each time he said goodbye. His neighbors were such good friends and were always there for him, especially Susan, Ken and Helen, Dick and Marina, Jeff and Holly, Alita and Heather. Riley, Terrys springer spaniel was pure joy to him as he was to her. Riley has a new home with Heather now.
Terry is survived by his parents, Neil and Janet Kleinschmidt; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Kate Kleinschmidt, a nephew Trevor Kleinschmidt and a special friend, Kay Risberg all of Onalaska; along with a very large extended family with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 5th at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Onalaska with Msgr. Steven Kachel officiating. Burial in the Onalaska City Cemetery will take place at a later date. Friends and family may call at the church on Tuesday from Noon until the time of services. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services-Onalaska Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers and plants memorials are preferred.
Lead on Terry and we will follow you.
