Armilla Loretta Cecelia Larson, 91 of La Crosse, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 3thrdth at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. She was born in Prairie du Chien, WI, on October 29, 1921 to Nicholas and Mary (Entringer) Meyer. She married Joseph Larson in Prairie du Chien on April 15, 1941 and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1998. Back in the 1950s Armilla had worked at the Dutch Maid Restaurant as a waitress. The Dutch Maid was known for making the very best Blue Moon ice cream around. She was also a waitress and hostess at the Commodore Club in La Crescent, MN. Later, she managed and resided at the Pleasant Valley Mobile Court for about 25 years until she retired. She had always said the best job she had was caring for her family whom she loved very much. Her life truly revolved around her family, her friends and her faith.

She is survived by her three children; Patricia (Clete) DuCharme, Joseph Larson, Erma Dahlquist, her five grandchildren; Doug (Angie) DuCharme, Paula (Dave) Swatek, Patrick (Carrie) Dahlquist, Daniel (Alyson) Dahlquist, Craig (fiance Jenni Boynton) Dahlquist, fifteen great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters and many other beloved family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in La Crosse. Rev. David Olson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family at the church Friday morning from 9 am until the time of services. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
