Thomas Jirsa

Tom (TJ Construction) was a carpenter by trade and had worked in the construction industry his entire life side by side with his brother Bob( Jirsa Construction). TJ and Carmen lived the past 12 years enjoying their country property where TJ was constructing the house of their dreams.



He is survived by his best friend, life partner and loving companion of 21 years Carmen Thienes, his mother Marilyn, three brothers, and sister Sue Jirsa-Henningsgaard, Bob (Peggy) Jirsa, Jerry (Susi) Jirsa and David (Missy) Jirsa, his mother-in-law Judy Carskadon, two brothers-in-law, Brad Carskadon and T.J. (Lisa) Carskadon , and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law, Mark Henningsgaard.



The family would like to thank all our friends, Gundersen Lutheran, Franciscan Mayo Cancer Center, Rochester Mayo and George Christiansen at the Clinic Pharmacy in West Salem for the support, care and concern during his courageous struggle. We would like to extend a very special Thank you to the dear staff of hospice home care who made it possible for T.J to be at home to finish his journey with dignity. You have our love and everlasting respect.

A Celebration of Life for T.J. will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the All Star Banquet Hall, 4735 Mormon Coulee Road, La Crosse. Please help us spend the day honoring TJ in the spirit of family, friendship and laughter that he so enjoyed. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
