Herbert Seidel

Herbert Sonny Seidel, Jr. 76 of Holmen passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his home. He was born April 10, 1936 in La Crosse to Herbert and Winnferd (Werner) Seidel, Sr. On February 8, 1958 he married Patricia Dolato in La Crosse. The couple moved to Kenosha where Sonny worked for the AMC/Chrysler Corp. for over 45 years, retiring and leaving his Chrysler family and friends in 2000.

In 2001 the couple returned to La Crosse. Sonny enjoyed fishing, hunting and many kinds of music. He and Pat loved to go out dancing, especially Polka. Sonny also enjoyed time spent with family, watching spectator sports especially the Green Bay Packers and took immense pride in his well manicured lawn.

In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by three daughters; Victoria (Frank) Salituro of Marlboro, MA, Patty Seidel of New Berlin, WI and Pam Thomey of Germantown, WI; six grandchildren, Michelle, David, Eric, Amanda, Brittany and Collin; four sisters, Ethel Pieper of Green Bay, Alice (Clarence) McClellan of Stoddard, WI, Carolyn (Gaylord) Mack of Kenosha and Kathy (Dave) Krajewski of Des Moines, IA; two brothers, Marvin (Shirley) Seidel of Onalaska and Ron (Sue) Seidel of La Crosse, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Joseph Salituro and six brothers, Orville, Kenny, Terry, Larry, Harvey and Eugene.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday; March 21thstth at First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse with Rev. Roger Sachs officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice Program.
