William E. Rediske, 83, of La Crescent, died peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family after a two year battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on April 4, 1929 in La Crosse to William and Mary (Kerska) Rediske. Bill graduated from Central High School in 1947. He worked at the Trane Company from 1947 1949 and then served with the United States Air Force from 1949 1952. Bill returned to the Trane Company and retired after 45 years of service. He married Shirley A. Stoeckly on June 19, 1954 at Temple Baptist Church in La Crosse. Bill attended Faith Baptist Church and on August 17, 1969, after realizing his need, he accepted Christ as his Savior.

Bill was a member of the Trane Co. 25 Year Club. He enjoyed bowling, motorcycle riding, hunting fox, squirrel and raccoon, playing softball with the Trane Co. as well as in his church softball league. Bill enjoyed watching his boys play football and hockey and attending his grandchildrens sporting events. He was often seen watching local sports as he enjoyed all sports, especially the Packers and Brewers. He was actively involved at Faith Baptist Church and was currently an active member at Temple Baptist Church. Bill also loved visiting his friends each week at local nursing homes.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, his children, Robert (Penny) Rediske of Holmen, Brad (Ann) Rediske of Holmen, and Kris (Ray) Molitor of Winona, seven grandchildren, Chelby Rediske, Joshua Rediske, Kaitlin Ingle, Megan Rediske, Mandy Rediske, Brady Rediske and Paul Rediske, two sisters, Alice Ingham and Irene Hanson, a brother Frank Rediske, and a sister-in-law, Vi Rediske. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Art and John Rediske, and two grandsons, Brandon and Josiah Rediske.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21thstth, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Temple Baptist Church. Pastor Daniel Habegger and Pastor Andrew Buhrow will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, La Crosse Chapel, on Wednesday from 4:00 7:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Temple Baptist Church for building improvements. Bill was a trustee at church for many years and cared deeply about maintaining the church property.
