Beverly A. Peplinsky, 72, of La Crosse, passed away at her home on Friday, March 22, 2013.
She was born in La Crosse on March 22, 1941, to Carl and Frieda (Bertkow) Techmer. Beverly attended La Crosse schools and graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1959. In 1964, she married Sylvester Pep Peplinsky in La Crosse. He preceded Beverly in death on March 19, 2000.
Beverly worked for many years at the Showboat Lanes in La Crosse. She was an avid bowler herself, bowling in several leagues and state tournaments throughout her life. She also enjoyed coaching junior bowling for many years and served as the president of the La Crosse Area Junior Bowling Association. In her free time, Beverly also enjoyed golfing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Tracy (Fred) Anderson of Stillwater, Minn.; a son, Tim Peplinsky of La Crosse; two grandchildren, Isabella and Keira Kiki Anderson; three sisters, Lois Dugger, Audrey Kvamme, and Mary Ann Juen, all of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Beverly was also preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Techmer.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, at 11:00 a.m., at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse Chapel, at 200 west Ave. So. Rev. Ted Dewald will officiate. Entombment will take place at St. Joseph Mausoleum in the Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
