Laurett Chick

d. April 2, 2013

Laurett Letty Chick, 82, of La Crosse, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Hillview Health Care Center. She was born on August 12, 1930 in Marshfield, WI to Lawrence and Eleanor (Michels) McDonald. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. She married Gilbert Chick in 1953 and they later divorced.

Letty is survived by three children, Barbara (John) Bristow of Onalaska, Patricia (David) Parr of La Farge, WI, and David (Andrea) Chick of La Crosse, three grandsons, Michael (Emma) Bristow, Daniel Bristow, and Dylan Dougherty, a sister, Ellen Splett of Mahtomedi, MN, step-grandchildren, Savannah (Alan) Palmquist of Wyoming, MN, and Michael Dougherty of St Paul, MN, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a very special cousin, Sister Catherine ONeill. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Margaret Dalton.

Letty was so proud of her years at Herbergers working in the childrens department. After she retired at the age of 74 she often said she helped clothe half the kids in La Crosse. The true loves of her life were her boys, Michael, Daniel and Dylan. Letty rarely missed an activity her grandsons were involved in. She was their perfect fan and they will miss her very much.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the wonderful care Letty received from the Dialysis Unit at Mayo Health System, the Eagle Crest staff and the Hillview Health Care Center staff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April, 8th, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate.
