Victor E Bohlin

Victor E. Bohlin, 87 of Onalaska, WI, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Onalaska Care Center. He was born in Hoboken, NJ, on December 18, 1925 to Victor and Catherine (Williams) Bohlin. He married Marilynn Salzer on March 3, 1946. Victor had worked for La Crosse Telephone Company for 25 years until he left for a career in the sales field. Later, he began driving school bus where he made many lasting friendships. In his retirement Victor took up woodworking and teaching wood crafts to grade school children. Victor was a man of deep faith. One way he witnessed his Christianity was serving in the chaplaincy at Lakeview Health Center and St. Francis Hospital.

In addition to his wife Marilynn of Onalaska, he is survived by one son John Bohlin of Dakota, MN, three daughters, Cathie (Dave) Hanson of Onalaska, Mary (Greg) Powell of La Crosse, Lynda Bohlin of La Crescent, MN, one sister Gloria (Jerry) Ball of Alexandria, Arkansas, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Chris and two brothers John and Harold.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse Chapel. Pastor Mark Clements will officiate. Private family burial in Oak Grove Cemetery will be at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
