Amber M. Levendoski, 91, of rural Chaseburg, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Hillview Health Care Center, La Crosse. She was born on November 14, 1921 near Mellette, SD to John and Elizabeth (Wolfe) Berra. In 1936 her family moved back to Wisconsin. She married Fredrick Fritz Levendoski on December 6, 1939 in St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church, Chaseburg. Amber was a lifelong member of St. Peters, where she was active in Ladies Aid and the Homemakers Club. Amber and Fritz built their own farm buildings and house, and actively operated their dairy farm until Fritzs passing. Amber took great pride in maintaining the beauty of her farm and loved working with and caring for animals and living the country life.
She is survived by four children; Harold (Delores) Levendoski of Clear Lake, WI, Robert (Susan) Levendoski of Onalaska, Kathy (Kendall) Casberg of La Crosse, and COL. Marlin (Kitty) Levendoski of Chaseburg, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and a brother Howard (Lois) Berra of Albany, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Fritz in 1993, a brother Glenn, and four sisters, Zelma King, Leona Dugan, Wilma Barilani, and Irene Levendoski.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church, Chaseburg. Pastor Steven Oldre will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church, the Coulee Region Humane Society, the American Cancer Society, or Hillview Health Care Center.
