Joanne M Williams

Joanne M. Williams, 66 of Stoddard, WI, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 27th due to complications of a prolonged illness. She was born in La Crosse on May 25, 1946 to Joseph and Esther (Moen) Stephans. She married Daniel L. Williams in La Crosse on March 31, 1972. For over thirty years Joanne had worked as a self-employed housekeeper. Joanne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. She will always be remembered for her giving nature and kind spirit. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Daniel of Stoddard, she is survived by her three daughters Lisa Hanus of La Crosse, Deelynn Heiser of La Crosse, Nicole Williams of Stoddard, four grandchildren Arson Williams, Destiny Schumacher, Ashley Hanus, Margaret Melde; two great grandchildren, one sister Deanna (Jim) Stanberry of Broomfield, CO, one brother Gary Stephans of Arlington, VA and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son in law Daniel Hanus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Service La Crosse chapel. Pastor Duane Baardseth will officiate. Burial will follow in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Joannes memory. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Stoddard First Responders for their efforts and care.
