Katherine M. Kitty Luebke, 80 of Onalaska, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her home following a battle with ALS. She was born September 23, 1932 in Stillwater, MN to Walter and Katherine (Zoller) Klein. On June 2, 1956 she married Roger Luebke and together they had six children; he preceded her in death on June 16, 1996.

Kitty was a devoted and active member of St. Patricks Catholic Parish in Onalaska where she worked in the schools hot lunch program, coordinated the funeral lunches and volunteered for many other activities in the parish. She worked as an Avon representative for many years and also volunteered for blood drives at the American Red Cross. Kitty enjoyed playing bridge, taking trips, and going to La Crosse Loggers baseball games with family and friends.

Kitty is survived by her six children; Paula (Greg) Thompson of La Crosse, WI, David (Laura) Luebke of Colorado Springs, CO, Karl (Judy) Luebke of Sheboygan, WI, Barbara Jax of Onalaska, WI, John (Lisa) Luebke of Oak Creek, WI and Craig (Jessie) Luebke of West Salem, WI; 10 grandchildren, Andrea (Andy) Teska, Maria (Michael) LaVoy, Beth Thompson (Matt Wurth), Kendra (Aubrey) Kooistra, Sarah (Aaron) Hizon, Joseph Luebke, Marissa Jax, Brianna Luebke, Trevon Luebke and Tessa Luebke; a step-grandson, Jason Yingst; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dolores Skeivik of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, William (Sheila) Klein of Stillwater, MN as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Roger, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 7th at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Onalaska with Msgr. Steven Kachel officiating. Burial will follow in the Onalaska City Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM; and again at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be sent to St. Patricks Catholic Church, Mayo Clinic Health Services Hospice Program or the Scenic Bluffs Chapter of the American Red Cross.
