Duane E Gosline

Duane E. Gosline, 77 of Onalaska passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic Health Services in Sparta. He was born January 1, 1936 in Milwaukee to George and Clara (Leece) Gosline. Following High School graduation he served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until his discharge in 1958. On February 23, 1957 he married Patricia Doughty in Fort Fairfield, ME and they later divorced.

Duane had worked as a welder for the Harnischfeger Corp. in Milwaukee for 20 years until his retirement on February 7, 1985. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to fish.

Duane is survived by four sons; Phillip Gosline of Whitehall, WI, Daniel Gosline of Presque Isle, ME, Mark Gosline of Holmen and Jude (Wendy) Gosline of Taylor, WI; four grandchildren; Lukia (Clarissa) Evenson, Jacob (Ashley) Evenson, Amanda Evenson and Hunter Gosline; along with two great-grandchildren, Anthony Evenson and Jayden Evenson. He was preceded in death by two sons; Stephen and Duane, his parents, his former wife Patricia and two brothers, Eugene and George.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 22thndth at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S. La Crosse with Msgr. Steven Kachel officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
