Jay R Erickson

Jay R. Erickson, 56 of La Crosse, passed away under hospice care at the Gundersen Health System of La Crosse on Wednesday, May 22thndth with his family at his side. He was born in Beloit, WI, on March 7, 1957 to Jim and Virginia (Holmlund) Erickson. He married Sue A. Przywojski in La Crosse on September 10, 1988.

He had worked as a Master Carpenter for nearly fourty years until his retirement on March 7, 2012. He had a great love for the river and fishing. Jay, his wife and their two girls enjoyed travelling and attending Green Bay Packer games together. He was a soft spoken, gentle yet fun loving person who will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends and neighbors.

In addition to his wife Sue of La Crosse, he is survived by his two daughters Katie (Hunter Viner) Erickson of La Crosse, Jenna (Nick La Rue) of La Crosse, his father Jim Erickson of La Crosse, one sister Kristine (Gary) Kastner of La Crescent, MN, and their children Torre and Erik; one brother Jon (Debra) Erickson of La Crosse, two brothers in law David (Sue) Przywojski of Menominee, WI, Joe (Christie) Przywojski of La Crosse and their children Jaxon and Gracie. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel at 200 West Ave. South. Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:00 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Jays memory.T
