David Michael Kaiser, 54, of Galesville, died on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Gundersen Health System. He was born to Bernard Fritz and Carol (Lichtie) Kaiser on January 10, 1959 in La Crosse. He attended Logan High School. He married Kimberlee Brush on July 14, 1990 and they later divorced. David served in the National Guard for a short period of time, He worked as an over the road truck driver and then for Hilltoppers until he became disabled due to health reasons. All outdoor activities were his love. Hunting, fishing, pool and most of all, riding his motorcycle with his friends were his passions. Our heartfelt thanks to Candi and Tommy for being such good friends and for all they did for him when he was ill and since then. He had just started riding again after a mishap last June. Also to Dewey, his friend and neighbor, because of you and your help, we were able to have a bit more time with him.
His greatest love was for his children and grandchildren. They meant the world to him and in spite of his sometimes gruff ways, he loved them dearly.
David is survived by his children, Katie Sue, Jameson, and Christa Kaiser; grandchildren, Haley, Hannah and Blake Brush and Brandon Stankey. He is further survived by his mother Carol Kaiser of West Salem, Brothers and sisters; Paul (Debra) Kaiser of West Salem, Nancy (David) Sackmaster of Onalaska, Gary (Mary) Kaiser of Madison, Cheryl Mooney of Onalaska, and by his ex-wife Kimberlee Kaiser , many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Fritz Kaiser, maternal grandparents, Ray and Marie Lichtie, paternal grandparents, Wenzel and Ida Kaiser, a sister Kathy Shaffer, brother-in-law Arnold Shaffer, niece Christina Shaffer, stepson Scottie Brush, and other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Service of La Cross on Saturday, June 15th, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a scripture service to be held at 1:00 PM led by Rev. Robert S. Hegenbarth. Lunch will follow at the View Restaurant, N3020 State Hwy. 16. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
