Constance M. Connie (Rossiter) Hegge, 94, of La Crosse, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Bethany Riverside Nursing Facility in La Crosse. Constance was born June 10, 1919, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to James and Mary (Moore) Rossiter. She married Oris Hegge, Jan. 3, 1939 at St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral in La Crosse. Together they had six children. After raising her children, Constance earned an Associate Degree at Western Wisconsin Technical College and spent time on her many interests which included painting and writing. She was a long time member of the La Crosse Arts and Crafts Society and a member of St. Thomas More Parish since 1954. She was also an excellent seamstress.

Constance is survived by sons; William(Marilyn), Paul(Linda), and David(Sheila); daughters; Marilyn(Wayne) Kile, and Jill(Carl) Burgchardt; and son-in-law, Ed Gormican; grandchildren; James(Rachel), Michael(Carey), Daniel(Jenny), Joseph(Kristin), Erick, and Crystal Hegge (Will Hesch), Todd(Kimberly) Kile, Adam Kile, Jennifer(Jeff) Turk, Amber Jean Hegge (M. AugieVan Art), Kelly(Roger) Schaefer, Jane(John) Wright, and Lucy Burgchardt; great-grandchildren; Matthew, Kala, Ethan, Rebecca, Caroline, Jeffry, Brendan, Patrick, Aleka, Evan, Lauren, Desirae, Skye, Alex, Iris and Quentin.

Constance was preceded in death by her husband Oris, daughter, Candace Gormican, her parents James and Mary, a brother Earl and sisters Dorothy and Darleen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 17th, 2013 at

10:30 AM at the Faith and Life Center at Bethany Riverside Nursing Facility. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Faith and Life Center. The Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Entombment will follow in the St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum, Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Bethany Riverside where Constance has resided for the past several years. She received loving and compassionate care.
