Don L Meyers

Don L. Meyers, 96 of La Crosse died on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center. He was born January 25, 1917 in La Crosse to Leonard and Viola (Wright) Meyers and attended Central High School. On July 12, 1943 he married Harriet Olson in La Crosse and she preceded him in death on April 12, 1996. Don had worked as a machinist at the Electric Auto-Lite for nearly 25 years. He also owned and operated Don Meyers Photography Studio in La Crosse until his retirement in 2000. Don and Harriet enjoyed traveling in their motor home and spending time on the Mississippi River on their houseboat. They also enjoyed dancing and have now resumed their eternal dance with one another.Don is survived by his family and friends and the countless people that he photographed throughout the years. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and best friend, Harriet Blondie; four brothers, Wallace, Billy, Leonard and Harry; a sister, Meta; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gus and Winnie Bruemmer.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 30th in the Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse with Rev. Tom Meyer officiating. Memorials are preferred to St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 420 West Ave. South, La Crosse. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse is assisting the family. thth
