Ardelle W. Albrecht, 87, of La Crosse, died on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. She was born on July 7, 1926 on the family farm in Vernon County to Elmer and Emma (Johnson) Zietlow. She married Quentin T. Albrecht on June 20, 1948 in St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church, Hamburg, WI. Ardelle was a Christian grade school teacher at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran in Sleepy Eye, MN and St. Marks Ev. Lutheran in Watertown, WI. She retired in 1986. Ardelle was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse, First Ev. Lutheran Ladies Aid, OWLS, Builders for Christ, Kingdom Workers, and Gospel Outreach phone group.
She is survived by five daughters, Connie (Dennis) Riebe of Prairie du Chien, WI, Christine (Peter) Kruschel of Las Vegas, NV, Rebekah Carey of Milwaukee, Sarah (Robert) Anderson of Ann Arbor, MI, and Mary (Wes) Hanson of Chaseburg, WI, a son Quentin David Albrecht of La Crescent, MN, grandchildren, Jaaren (Lareena) Riebe, Daniel (Jenny) Riebe, Jonathan (Nicole) Kruschel, Samuel Kruschel, Jesse (Colleen) Carey, Rachel (Jason) Borchard, Diane Anderson, Erin, Leah, Brian and Zachary Albrecht, and Lucas and Emma Hanson, numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Quentin, and infant son Quentin Mark in 1950, and her sister Evelyn Pieper.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 2thndth, 2013 at 11:00 AM at First Ev. Lutheran Church, La Crosse. Pastor Roger Sachs will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Memorials may be given to the African Medical Mission, Luther High School, or First Ev. Lutheran Grade School.
