" style="margin: 12pt 0in 10pt;Alice M Stemper, (100), was born on September 21, 1913 and died peacefully, Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Onalaska Care Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, George E. Stemper; son, George F. Stemper, her parents, 7 siblings, and several grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, two daughters, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Surviving children are Joe Stemper, Hokah, MN; Mary Ann Stemper, Prairie du Chien, WI; Al (Judy) Stemper, Onalaska, WI; Frank (Renae) Stemper, Becker, MN; and Carol (Stemper) Gautsch, Holmen, WI. Her sole surviving sibling is Mary Newburg, La Crescent, MN. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, spending much time with Lois (John) Hayek after moving to La Crosse.

Alice kept strong and lived a fruitful life through her devotion and love of her religion and family. She enjoyed making homemade food for friends and family. The farm was an ideal place to raise her family and the beautiful flowers she couldnt resist mixing in her huge vegetable garden.

Alices Family extends a heartfelt thanks to the Onalaska Care Center Staff for the services and care she received over the many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30th at St. Peters Catholic Church in Hokah, MN with Rev. Pratap Reddy Salibindla officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crescent and again at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
