Barbara L Hickey

Barb was born in La Crosse on February 24, 1954, the daughter of Norman and Lillian (Gabel) Burns. She was united in marriage to Michael Hickey on February 9, 1974 in La Crosse. Barb and Mike were blessed with 3 children, Sarah (Ray) Degner, Joe (Jacki) and Ryan Hickey; 9 grandchildren, Megan and Taylor Longway, Connor Degner, Jacob, Jessa, Jaimie, Kyle, Haley and Alex Hickey; and 2 Boston Terriers, Phoebe and Gracie.

She is also survived by her siblings, Dick (Lindsey), Bob (Gail) and Carly Burns; Mikes siblings, Greg Hickey and Kathy Storandt (Dick Hannagan); her aunts and uncles, Ruth Raatz, Joyce and Rudy Halverson, and Patti and Irv Engen; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friends, Gary and Kathy Schams, Mark and Debbie Koenig, Kathy Birch, and Bob White.

Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, and doing craft projects. She especially enjoyed the summer weekends spent fishing with her brother, Bob, on his pontoon boat.

Private funeral services were held at and arranged by the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services Onalaska Chapel. Online guestbook is available at
