She was born in Coon Valley, Wis., on April 17, 1934, to Roy and Mabel (Running) Torgerson. She married James W. Wilson on November 19, 1954, in Reno, Nev. and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1997.

During her lifetime, Lillian had been employed by Walts Restaurant, the La Crosse Garment Company, and Exel Inn before her retirement. She was a past member of Bible Baptist Church in La Crosse where she served as a Sunday school teacher, sang in the church choir, and served as the church clerk and on the Womens Committee. She was also a past member of V.F.W. Post 1530 Auxiliary.

Lillian was a very loving and caring person; a devoted mother and grandmother who touched many lives throughout her life. She is survived by her daughter, Lili (Arnie) Gaustad of La Crescent; her son, David Wilson of La Crosse; and her four grandchildren, Tiffany Gaustad, Nathan Gaustad, Benjamin Strong, and Jeremy Martin. She is further survived by a sister, Sonja (John) Richard of La Crosse; a brother, Dean (Iris) Torgerson of Rice Lake, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins and other extended family members. In addition to her husband, Lillian was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Torgerson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 4th, at 10:30 a.m., at the Faith and Life Center at Bethany Riverside Nursing Facility. Rev. Kimberly Jordan will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the Faith and Life Center on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
