Milton C Kraus

Milton C. Milt Kraus, 84, of La Crosse, died on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. He was born on September 25, 1929 in New Ulm, MN to Anton and Elsie (Kohnert). Milt married Shirley Stange on March 14, 1953 in La Crosse and she preceded him in death on September 30, 2001. Milt worked for Trane Company for many years before pursuing a truck driving job with Briggs Transportation and driving numerous buses including Greyhound. He enjoyed hunting, especially in the western United States.

Milt is survived by a brother, Delano Kraus, two sisters-in-law, Janice (Norman) Deml and Carol (Gene) Hollnagel, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Shirley he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Kraus, two brothers-in-law, Jack Stange and Robert Stange, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Stange.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 29th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse. Rev. Ted Dewald will officiate. Committal service will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
