Harold W Kuschel

Harold W. Kuschel, 86, of La Crosse, died on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Hillview Health Care Center. He was born on August 24, 1927 in La Crosse to Walter and Gertrude (Hagel) Kuschel. Harold served in the U.S. Air Force. On January 29, 1951 he married Therese Opdahl in Bossier City, LA. Together they loved square dancing and belonged to the Happy Twirlers. Harold also enjoyed flying radio controlled planes.

He is survived by his children Jack (Linda) of La Crosse, Ken (Vickey) of Holmen, Jan (Mark) Horihan of West Salem, Nancy (Randy) Haas of La Crosse and Mark (Tracy) of Texas, nine grandchildren Jeff, Rachel, Kimberly, Kailah, Cecilia, Ethan, Patrick, Shannon and Brian along with many great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Melvin Kuschel and Glenn Kuschel. He was preceded in death by his wife Therese, a sister Jean Spensiri and a grand-daughter Kristin Kuschel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Schumacher Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, La Crosse Chapel, 200 West Ave. S. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 PM and again on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service.
