John H. Boutin - John H. Boutin, 71, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He was the son of Lester M. and Irene M. (Jacques) Boutin, born in Two Rivers, WI. John graduated from Washington High School (Class of 1961) in Two Rivers, where he was an outstanding athlete, excelling in track and field, basketball and football. Some of his state records remain untouched. John enlisted in the National Guard serving at the Waukesha, WI Nike missile site. In 1971 John was reassigned to the 1157th Transportation Co. in Oshkosh, WI. In 1986 he transferred to Fort McCoy, retiring in 1995. John was a dedicated outdoorsman, who marked the passage of time according to the opening days of fishing, deer, turkey, duck, goose and sturgeon seasons. He was a longstanding member of Otter Street Fishing Club, the Lakers Club and Ducks Unlimited. He is survived by his son Jesse J. (Angela) Boutin, grandchildren Connor, Courtney, Justin and Morgan Boutin all of La Crosse, a brother James (Dorothy) Boutin of Manitowoc, a sister Helen (late Claude) Skrivanie of Green Bay, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by siblings Lorraine (Harry) Bero, Leo (Anna Mae) Boutin and Clarice (Howard) Brandt. Memorial services will be held at 2:00p.m., on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at SchumacherKish Funeraland Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers donations to benefit the youth hunter education programs of Wisconsin Ducks Unlimited are appreciated.
