Lola M. Richason, 82, of La Crosse and formerly of Cassville, died on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. She was born on December 26, 1931 in Gays Mills, WI to Fred and Bessie (Huffman) Mook. On December 24, 1950 she married Byron Richason in Las Cruces, NM. Lola had worked as a bus driver for 8 years in Cassville. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, canning, gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Lioness Club, Bowling League, Methodist Church Board, United Methodist Womens Club and a volunteer EMT all in Cassville. She is survived by her husband Byron, children Dianne (John) Terry of Milwaukee, WI, Curt (Nellie) Richason of Beloit, WI, Elaine (Ed) Riopelle of Jonesville, MI, Vickie (Pete) Hamaker of Beaufort, SC and Craig (Diane) Richason of La Crosse, granddaughter Jenny (Brett) Barwick of Greenville, SC, grandson Kevin (Kylie) Hamaker of Fairfax, VA, great granddaughter Sinclair Barwick of Greenville, SC and two adopted grandchildren Bethany and Mindy, a brother Laurel Mook of Woodman, WI and a sister Mildred Cooper of Lancaster, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Belva Butler, brothers Raymond, Roland, Robert and Lawrence Mook. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Schumacher Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska, WI. Pastor Donald Iliff will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Cancer Center at Gundersen Lutheran.
