Beverly A Cronk

Beverly A. Cronk, 78 of Racine, Wis. passed away at her home on Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was born August 29, 1935 in La Crosse to Louis and Bernice (Hougland) Skaff and was a proud graduate in the class of 1953 at La Crosse Central High School. Following graduation, she moved to Minneapolis where she worked as a secretary for Brown and Bigelow for two years. She then met the love of her life, Jim Cronk and the couple was married at Christ Episcopal Church in La Crosse on November 16, 1957. Jim preceded her in death on March 13, 2010. Beverly enjoyed crocheting, her numerous shopping ventures and the casinos (Majestic Pines in Black River Falls was her favorite). She especially appreciated her dedicated chauffer/son-in-law, Matthew DeLeon. She worked as a homemaker while raising her four children; Darlene (Matthew) DeLeon of Racine, WI, Randall (Jean) Cronk of Somers, WI, Carolyn Hailey of Racine, WI and Rodney (Tracy) Cronk of Racine, WI; she is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Melissa and Tony DeLeon, Robert, Stephanie, Erica and Nicole Cronk, Erin (Jermaine) Francis and Tyler Meyer; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Cronk and Dallas DeLeon; she is further survived by her brother Larry (Franie) Skaff and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Eugene Breidel who are dearly appreciated for their help and support along with numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Jim, she was preceded in death by her parents, and aunt Marian Skaff and an uncle George Skaff.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 15th at Christ Episcopal Church, 111 N. 9th Street, La Crosse with Rev. James Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Friday from 5-7 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. South, La Crosse; and again on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Beverlys memory.
