John M Gordon

John M. Gordon, 63, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born on September 23, 1950 in La Crosse to Eliphalet and Bernnetta (Baker) Gordon. He married Sandy Arenz on April 12, 2003 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. John had served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was ranked as a master pool player. He was an active wildlife observer who enjoyed collecting eagle and wolf figurines and photos. In his younger years he was a competitive drag racer. He also enjoyed spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Sandy, daughter Jessica (Joseph) Arsenault of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son Chrisopher (Stacy) Gordon/Kulas, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, along with good friends George Simdars and Randy Thillen. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Laurel Seals and Mary Jane Gordon and a brother-in-law Richard Seals. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gundersen Hospice Care. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
