Joshua James Saley, 27 of Onalaska, died on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his home. He was born March 12, 1987 in La Crosse to Tami Saley and Edward Riel. He graduated from Onalaska High School in 2005. Joshua worked at many different places in the area and was currently employed at Torrance Casting in La Crosse. He was also attending WTC where he was studying Electrical/Mechanical Technology. Joshua is survived by his mom and dad#2, Tami (Mike) Saley-Starr of Onalaska; his dad, Edward Riel of Duluth, MN; a sister, Brittany Saley of La Crosse; step-sisters, Tasha and Alicia Starr both of Onalaska; half-sisters, Tayler and Megan Riel both of Holmen; maternal grandparents, Roger (Margaret) Saley of Onalaska; paternal grandfather, Ken Riel; an uncle, Mark (Mishelle Gulley) Saley; 4 aunts, Lori Sands, Lisa Kiedrowski, Christine Seidel and Michelle Storey; his niece, Venice Rose Romskog whom he adored; his cat Virgil along with many other extended family members locally and in South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Riel and a half-brother, Justin Riel. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 18th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse with Rev. Scott McMurray officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
