Kathleen Faith Ann Peterson

Kathleen Faith Ann Peterson, 70, of Stoddard, WI, died on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in her home. She was born on July 2, 1943 in New London, WI to John and Charity (Mulvaney) Kelly. Kathy graduated from Pomona High School and Mt. San Antonio College, Pomona, CA, majoring in music and drama. She was the director of youth plays with the Park Department in Pomona and toured as an entertainer with the USO with Bob Hope, and was briefly a member of the famous band We5. She married Robert Gene Peterson on June 14, 1969 in St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville, WI. Kathy was a homemaker and raised her four children in Stoddard, WI. She was an active member of the Stoddard Lioness Club, serving as President multiple times. She continued her interest in the theatre and directed plays at Desoto High School and was active in various Community Theatres and acting in several plays. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved playing cards. She will be remembered for being the life of the party, making everyone laugh.

She is survived by her four children, Kerry Peterson of San Diego, CA, timothy (Nicole) Peterson of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick (Stephanie) Peterson of Holmen, WI, and Michael Peterson of Stoddard, her grandchildren, Connor, Mackenzie and Liam Peterson of Holmen, her siblings, Peggy (Curry) Koehler of McCall, ID, Michael (Linda) Kelly of Ventura, CA, Patrick (Marie) Kelly of Claremont, CA, and Maureen (Tom) Kelly of Bellingham, WA, a sister-in-law Janice Kelly of Fullerton, CA, and a sister-in-law, Alice Peterson of Waterford, WI. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert, her parents, a granddaughter Savannah, two brothers, John and Tim Kelly, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly (Jack) Sisemore and Carol (Bernie) Peterson and a brother-in-law Donald

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, Genoa, WI. Rev. William Dhein will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse on Thursday from 5:00 7:00 PM and at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to either the Stoddard Lioness Club or the Daniel J. Kelly Memorial Scholarship Fund.
