Merideth A Lock

Merideth A. Lock , 72 of La Crosse passed away on Saturday , March 22, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic Health System of La Crosse. She was born on August 29, 1941 in Virginia, MN to Fingal and Eleanor (Heitkemper ) Melin. Merideth attended William Kelly High School in Silver Bay, MN and University of Minnesota - Duluth. She was an advertising sales executive for the Duluth News Tribune for 26 years and loved the newspaper. She married Daniel J. Lock on November 21, 1984 in Duluth, MN She is survived by husband Daniel, daughter - Anne Marie Weber ( Joseph ) of La Crosse, son Danny Lamour ( Lisa ) of Bartlett, IL Brother - Richard Melin ( Kim ) of Houston, TX - Sister - Marlys Melin-Whitaker of Prescott, AZ - Grandchildren Max, Jazzy, Annie-Rose , Faith, Alex, and Julia, several nieces and nephews. Merideth loved to fish the lakes of Northern Minnesota, enjoyed reading , and studying the Bible. She was active at Olivet Lutheran Church in La Crosse and loved the members of her bible study group. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of the 7t h Floor at Mayo Clinic Health System of La Crosse for their kindness and compassion. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Olivet Beacon of Light Lutheran Church on French Island. Pastor David Baldukas and Pastor Luanne Sorenson will officiate. Friends may call on the family at the church on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of services. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel is assisting the family.
