Linda Madigan

Linda Madigan - Linda L. Madigan, 64 of La Crosse passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. She was born in Bowling Green Ohio on March 30, 1950 to Ernest and Charlotte (Zehender) Ramga. Following her graduation from Winona State University, she moved to Black River Falls, Wis., where she was employed as a Social Worker for twelve years. Her desire to help other people led to La Crosse where she worked for New Horizons Shelter and Womens Center and ultimately served as there Executive director until her retirement in 2005.

From 2006 until 2007 she was active as a volunteer for the La Crosse chapter of the American Red Cross. Her big heart and need to help people took her to Louisiana following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. From 2008 until her death, she worked at La Crosse Technology. The family gratefully acknowledges the support they showed Linda during her illness.

Linda is survived by her father Ernest Ramga of Winona, Minn., one sister Sheryl (Dan Googins) Christopherson of Winona, Minn., one son Mark, three granddaughters Charlotte, Olivia and Zooey one daughter in law Rose, four very special friends, Deb, Terri, Joyce and Cindy who never left her side during her courageous fight. Linda was blessed with many other friends who supported her during her time of need. Her family is truly grateful to you all. She was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte, one brother Gene and step mother Delores.

A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 4 until 7 P.M. at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel; 200 West Avenue South.
