Sibyl Piotrowski

Sibyl Piotrowski, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Benedictine Manor of La Crosse. She entered this world on July 17, 1919.

Very proud of her service in the WACs, she also enjoyed her ukulele skills as well as her position as buyer for Goldwaters Department store in Arizona. Sibyls passion was her love of the La Crosse Catbirds Basketball team where she, along with her sister, Hotshot, was honored as the first inductees into the Catbirds Hall of Fame. Her love of fashion, her smile and joyous attitude for life instilled memories in many people.

Sibyl has left this earth to join her four sisters, Lydia, Dagmar, Gladys and Evelyn, as well as her parents, Fred and Anna (Nielson) Friend.

A gathering for friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday, April 10th, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse. Online condolences may be submitted at www.schumacher-kish.com.
