d. April 23, 2014

Frank A. Brodbeck, 71, of La Crosse, died in his home on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Frank was born in Medford, Wisconsin on August 3, 1942 to Frank and Kunda (Drolshagen) Brodbeck. Frank married Kathleen (Gschwind) in La Crosse on November 18,1995. Frank proudly served his country with the United States Air Force from 1963-1966. He battled and survived cancer and when he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, he continually pushed his physical limits. Before he retired, as he did with every project, Frank put his all into his work as manager at local car dealerships. However, Frank was happiest when he was outdoors. He loved hosting family cook-outs, camping, gardening, and spending time with his German Sheppard, Mya. He was passionate about his family, loved to laugh and was an avid Packer fan.

Frank is survived by his loving wife; Kathy, children; Stacy (Les) Wade, Kimberly (Shawn) Hanson, Terry (Dawn) Brodbeck, Chris (Deenah) Brodbeck and Brad (Trish) Brodbeck and his step-children; Lisa (Curt) Zobeck, Bradley Holthaus and Jaime (Adam) Kremer. He also was a devoted grandfather to grandchildren; Megan, Corey, Zach, Breanna, Alainna, Zachary, Brice, Sydney, Avery, Ashley, Anthony, Makayla, Hailey and Meila. Frank recently became a great-grandfather to Azalia. He is further survived by his sisters; Darlene (Frank) Kowalski, Margaret (Bill) Strohkirch, and Barb (Scott) Ramsberg, sister-in-law; Mary Ann Brodbeck.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Art.
