Robert K Larson

Robert K. Larson, 85 of La Crosse, died on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in his home. He was born January 10, 1929 in La Crosse to Kenneth N. and Margaret (Ziegler) Larson. He graduated from Viroqua High School and Marquette University Dental School. On August 12, 1950 Bob married Ingeborg Louise Mickelson. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After his service he returned to Marquette as an instructor in the dental school. Dr. Larson opened his dental practice in La Crosse in 1958 and practiced there for 40 years. He is survived by his wife Louise; five children; Lynn (Bruce) Hildabrand, Robert J. (Judi) Larson, Ann Larson, Mark Larson and Jean Steingart; seven grandchildren, Drew (Amber) Larson, Nick Larson, Emily (Mike) Engling, Amara Ferris and Alysia, Rachel and Maggie Steingart; along with a sister, Kay Syrek. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Michael. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 PM Friday, May 2thndth at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse. A private family burial is planned. Memorials may be offered to a charity of your choice.
