Sally J. GrabinskiSally J. Grabinski, 80 of La Crosse died on Thursday, May 15, 2014. She was born February 23, 1934 in La Crosse to Leslie and Irene (Franz) Howard and graduated from Logan High School. Sally married her high school sweetheart, Donald Grabinski on January 1, 1953 in La Crosse. They met as teenagers while roller skating at the Winter Garden Roller Rink.Sally loved to dance and listen to all types of music. She liked traveling the United States with Don while he was on business trips, and dining at fine restaurants. Sally especially enjoyed sightseeing adventures and spending time with her family on the river. In addition to her husband Don, she is survived by a daughter; Sherry Grabinski of La Crosse; two sons, Jim (Holly) Grabinski of La Crosse and Dale (Sandra) Grabinski of Foot Hill Ranch, CA; three grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica and Jeffrey Grabinski; a great-grandson, J.J. Grabinski; a sister, Angie Jordan of Abilene, TX; two brothers, Phillip (Edith) Howard of Rochester, MN and Earl (Joan) Howard of La Crosse along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Rose Hefti. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 20th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse with Rev. Lu Anne Sorenson officiating. Burial will follow in the French Island Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services.
