GermainA. GerryDavison, 93 ofHokah, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 18, 2014 after a twenty year battle with prostate cancer.He was bornon February 4, 1921in Oshkosh, Wis.andraised inWapun, Wis.toGermainJ.and Ruth(Atwood)Davison.On August 23, 1944 he married Jeanne Elizabeth Sylvester in MountHoreb, Wis. Gerry was a family man concerned with educating and advancing everyone he became involved with. Afterobtaininghis undergraduate degree, he proudlyservedhiscountry with the United States Navy from 1943 to 2010 includingactive duty in WWII and the Korean War. Throughout his life he was actively involved inthepolitics shaping the course of ourcountry. He was a family man, educator, Naval Officer, independent business man, tree farmer and dairy farmer. In addition to his wife Jeanne, he is survived by hisfive sons andone daughterJim (Vicki)of Marshalltown, IA,Bill (Dianne)of Riva, Maryland,Paul (Shelby)of La Crosse, Wis.,Richard (Sheryl) of La Crosse Wis.,Tim (Sandy)ofHokah,Minn., Margi(Neal)Genrichof Tomah, Wis.Grandfather of twelveandGreat grandfather of two.He was preceded in death by his sister Geraldine. ?Memorial services will be held at11:00 A.M. onWednesday, May 21, 2014at First Presbyterian Church of La Crosse. Pastor J. Taylor Haley will officiate. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call on the familyTuesdayevening from4 until 7 P.M. at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel; 200 West Ave. South. Visitation will also be held at the churchon Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be used in Gerrys memory.
