Ruth Ann Wunsch, 89 of La Crosse and formerly of Galesville, WI passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility in La Crosse. She was born July 10, 1924 in Wausau, WI to Frederick and Anna (Tombs) Rapp. On July 6, 1946 she married Wallace E. Wally Wunsch in Wausau and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2008. Ruths life was centered around her family and she was happiest when she was with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Ruth is survived by two daughters; Kathy (Gordon) Cook of Galesville, WI and Maureen (Dwight) Stark of Larimore, N.D.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, James in 2004 and Michael Wally in 2009 along with four sisters. Funeral services will held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 14th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska with Rev. James Kurzynski officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Francis of Assisi Mausoleum, Catholic Cemetery.
