Dakota, MN Glen Janikowski, 78 of Dakota, MN died on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born October 22, 1935 in Winona, MN to David and Marie (Armitage) Janikowski. Glen is survived by his wife Fran of 46 years; three children, Tina (Timothy) Wolter of Nodine, MN, Tammy Erdmann of La Crosse, WI and David (Shawna) Janikowski of Ventura, CA; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Otte, Trent (Laci) Wolter, Brandon Erdmann, Nickey Erdmann, Devon Janikowski and Cierra Janikowski; two great-grandchildren, Fisher Nagel and Gavin Gerdes-Erdmann; along with two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob Janikowski; two sisters, Irene Manley and Betty Olson. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, June 27th at the Dakota Community Center with Rev. Greg Nelson officiating. Burial will be held in the Oakland Cemetery, Dresbach, MN at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
