Theresa M. Chitwood, 77 of La Crosse died on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Hillview Healthcare Center. She was born on July 26, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI to Joseph and Mary (Pach) Witman and graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee in 1955. Theresa had worked at Marine National Exchange Bank in Milwaukee until retiring in 1970. In 1977 the family moved to Viroqua. Theresa moved to La Crosse in 1989 where she attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for two years. Theresa is survived by a son, Cash Chitwood of Miamisburg, OH; a sister, Alice Schaak of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and a brother, David Witman of Brown Deer, WI. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Stephen Witman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 26th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska with Rev. Ted Dewald officiating. Burial will follow in the Onalaska City Cemetery, Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
