Dorothy Stockers

Dorothy Gladys Stockers, 89 of Onalaska went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 23, 2014. She died as she lived with the Lord in her life. Dorothy was born on February 7, 1925 in La Crosse, WI to Claude and Clara (Fortin) Wright. She was united in marriage to Clarence A. Stockers in Iowa on August 22, 1946. They were blessed with a son, Gary and a daughter, Susan. Dorothy was a child care provider for 26 years, retiring at the age of 76. She was Gramma to over 100 children. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her son, Gary (Linda) Stockers of Holmen; daughter, Susan (Larry) Trulson of La Crescent, MN; grandchildren, Scott Stockers of MO, Deborah (Mark) Moan of Sparta, WI, Heather (David) Dean of Meridian, ID and Kimberly (Ryan) Rieber of West Salem, WI; great-grandchildren, Sommer Moan, Mattea, Paloma and Maranda Dean and Bennett, Landon and Jensen Rieber. Dorothy is also survived by a sister-in-law, Eileen Wright and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence in January of 1990; brothers, Lawrence and Roy Wright; sisters, Blanche (William) Lawrence and Ruth (Duane) Seymour; along with two nephews, William Lawrence and William Stockers. To honor Moms wishes, we will be having a private family gathering with burial in Trempealeau Cemetery.
